Many plumbers can still rely on copper. Thanks to the pressing technology, installations can be carried out reliably and quickly without complex welding and soldering. Geberit Mapress Copper is especially suited for potable water installations as well as for open and closed heating and cooling circuits. In addition to copper press fittings, the Geberit Mapress Copper product range includes fittings made of gunmetal and brass.
Pressing is not only straightforward, but also fast – in fact, it's around twice as fast as soldering. The pressing procedure itself is fast and simple: cut to length, deburr, mount the fitting, press – and you’re done.
The Geberit Mapress seal ring provides the pressing indicator with additional safety. Due to its special contours, unpressed connections leak during the pressure test. This recognition feature prevents harm later during operation.
No Risk Of Fire
The strength and tightness of the press connection is achieved by cold deformation of the copper pipe and Geberit Mapress Copper fitting. In contrast to soldering operations, no open flame or heat is required. Additional protection measures are unnecessary for renovation and repair work.
Protection Against Dust And Dirt
The pressing sockets of Geberit Mapress Copper fittings are sealed with a plug that protects the supply network from dust and dirt. The colour of the protection plug also identifies the application.
